MEDICAL SERVICES AT PRESIDIO ISD

NURSES

Presidio Elementary School has two full-time nursing assistants, Franco Middle School has one full-time nursing assistant, and Presidio High School has one full-time Certified Nursing Assistant, who report to the PISD Department of Public Safety.

All nursing assistants are certified in CPR/First Aid/AED, Stop the Bleed, and Vision, Hearing, Acanthosis, and Spinal Screening. They are also responsible for maintaining all vaccination and medical record documentation on their respective campuses.

 PISD Department of Public Safety also employs two Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and one Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). These medical professionals are responsible for responding to medical emergencies within the PISD district.

THE RIGHT OF PARENTS TO REQUEST THEIR CHILD’S PHYSICAL FITNESS ASSESSMENT RESULTS

Presidio ISD will conduct a physical fitness assessment of students in grades 3-12 who are enrolled in P.E. Parents may submit a written request to obtain the results of his or her child’s assessment at the end of the school year.
